Plato described the existence of twin flames thousands of years ago. It was a philosophical theory to explain the pure all completing love that a man and woman on occasions have for each other.

The explanation that Plato developed is one that sees our souls as being created with a male and female aspect. This soul split in two; one male and one female: two unique souls created from the same fire.

Sufi Mystics have also observed the phenomenon of Twin Flames. They have beautifully described it along the following lines:

“Every persons soul is a question and every persons soul is an answer. When you meet your twin flame he/she will answer your question and you will answer theirs.”
